 What is "Kokihanada" Color?

"Kokihanada" is the blue color with hints of purple and the darkest, deep color of "aizome (Japanese indigo dye)." Between the Heian (794-1185) and the Kamakura periods (1185-1333), kokihanada gained popularity as men’s clothing color for its deep and valiant tone. It was also referred to as "navy blue" from the mid-Heian Period.
