“KAWAGUCHI” as the final model of Fuji Five Lakes series |
Only the limited number of 2,500 pens
Release on July 1.2016
The “#3776” series was named after the height of the Mt. Fuji. In pursuit of our passion to create the best fountain pen in Japan and through accumulation of experiences, Platinum Pen has launched a product series inspired by the Fuji Five Lakes. Starting from “MOTOSU,” “SHOJI,” “SAI” and “YAMANAKA” are currently being sold. |
This time, we are launching “KAWAGUCHI” as the final edition to the series. An image of the Mt. Fuji and the water of the Lake Kawaguchi waiting for the dawn in the pure silence is expressed with this new fountain pen.
1. Body color|
“Dawn blue” refers to the gradation of colors at the dawn, when the sky is covered with the darkest blue just before the dawn. It is reflected upon the water together with the image of Mt. Fuji. We have incorporated such color into the transparent water of the lake. The contrast between the mirror-like surface and the quiet streams that ripples with breeze, which symbolizes the state of the lake at dawn, has been reproduced in the barrel using a technique to apply lustrous convex/concave patterns.
2. The expression of the Mt. Fuji
The part that resembles Mt. Fuji is placed at the top of the cap to express the image of the vague silhouette of the mountain emerging at the dawn.
3. The expression of the cap ring
Unlike the conventional engraved marks, we have applied three-dimensional letters for the first time with absolute attention to detail so as to reproduce a brand image suitable for the most prominent model of the series.
It is also employed with the “Slip & Seal Mechanism” of the popular “#3776 CENTURY” series that prevents ink from drying out in the pen with a complete airtightness thereby allowing those who only use the pen once or twice a year to write with fresh new ink.
We hope you enjoy “#3776 CENTURY KAWAGUCHI” that expresses the beautiful scene of the Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji at the dawning.
Each of the limited production of 2,500 comes with an engraved serial number (0001/2500 ~ 2500/2500).
